Pritzker School of Medicine to Offer Mini-Medical School and Biomedical Research Day to 150 High School Students in February

December 15 , 2008—On February 21, 2009, the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine will give 150 high school students the opportunity to take a glimpse into the world of medicine and research during Mini-Medical School and Biomedical Research Day. Students will participate in interactive anatomy exploration, mentoring sessions with Pritzker faculty, students, and staff, and will hear lectures presented by nationally renowned faculty members.

The Mini-Medical School and Biomedical Research Day is a part of Science Chicago, a year-long program that will provide the Chicagoland community with unique opportunities to learn, create, and explore the exciting world of science. Pritzker’s Mini-Medical School and Biomedical Research Day will be held on Pritzker’s campus, and aims to encourage minority students on Chicago’s South Side to pursue careers in medicine and the biomedical field.
