The Pritzker School of Medicine Academy of Distinguished Medical Educators Names New Members
October 18, 2006 — The University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine Academy of Distinguished Medical Educators named the following faculty members to its membership. They will be recognized publicly at the Academy's second annual Medical Education Day, April 13, 2007. The Academy is led by Dr. Halina Brukner, Director of the Academy of Distinguished Medical Educators.
Masters of the Academy:
Masters are recognized for their extraordinary contributions to medical education at Pritzker; for distinguished teaching and mentorship; and for serving as role models who inspire others with the joy of teaching. Candidates for Master are nominated by the Steering Committee of the Academy of Distinguished Medical Educators, and their nominations are endorsed by their department chairs. Masters have lifetime tenure in the Academy.

Fellows of the Academy:
Fellows are selected based on significant contributions to the education of our medical students, as well as recognized excellence in teaching. They are nominated by their department chair, and their nominations are endorsed by the Steering Committee of the Academy. Fellows are appointed for three-year terms which are renewable.
