Pritzker Societies Welcome Some New Faces!
Second City: DeLee loves Da Laughs
On the first day of Orientation, Huggins Society welcomed its newest members by decorating their lockers with welcome signs, candy, and balloons. Their welcome continued with dinners hosted by our society career advisors, Dr. Nanah Park and Dr. Shalini Reddy. To kickoff the new year, Huggins Society hosted a Picnic at the Point. Huggins is looking forward to participating in the 6th Annual Comer Kids Classic 5k on October 18.

The DeLee Society kicked off this year with a fun and relaxing night at Seven-Ten! We welcomed the 25 new MS12 members over some pizza, quesadillas, and cake. At the beginning of the fall quarter we hope to have a general meeting to inform all members of the year’s planned social, mentoring, and service events, solicit feedback and suggestions, as well as incorporate MS1s into the leadership committee. Upcoming social events include some favorites from last year like Second City, Broomball, and International Cuisine Night, as well as the new edition of a White Sox game outing. DeLee is also looking forward to pilot the Society Neighborhood Partnership initiative as part of its service component to build a more meaningful interaction between society members and an individual South Side community.
