Introduction to Clinical Biennium
The Clinical Biennium held the third week in June marks the end of Pritzker Medical Students pre-clinical years of training. It is a three day event consisting of numerous workshops to help prepare students for the upcoming year and culminates in the Student Clinician Ceremony. Topics generally covered include:
- OACIS Training
- CPR Training
- Patient Safety
- Career Planning
- Professionalism in Medicine
- Medical Decision-making and Informatics
- Stress Management
In addition, symposia held in the autumn and spring allow students to debrief on what's been happening with their clerkships as well and begin to prepare them for the upcoming residency application process.
