Q. Who do I see if I want a letter of recommendation not related to the Residency Application Process?
A. Submit a Request for a Letter form to Lori Orr in BSLC 104. She will triage the letter to the appropriate person.
Q. What should I provide a faculty member when I ask them for a letter that is unrelated to residency application?
A. There are three pieces you should include:
- CV
- Cover letter info:
- Name of fellowship
- Reason you are interested in the fellowship/scholarship, including a brief synopsis of research/awards if relevant
- Outline of research plan (IF you are applying for a research fellowship)
- Personal statement (if completed)
- Logistical information: Who does the letter go to, how should it be addressed, and when is it due?
