Dear future Pritzkerite,
Our names are Sophie and Cooper, two members of Pritzker’s Class of 2012, and we are pleased to be among the first to welcome you into the Pritzker family. We will be your Orientation 2009 co-chairs and will be interacting with you a great deal in the upcoming months. As we were recently in your shoes, we hope to guide you through your transition to medical school while easing your stresses and adding to your excitement.
In these next few months you will be preparing for medical school and life in Chicago. While there are many questions and concerns that go along with this transition, we would first like to congratulate you on finishing the tedious application process (no more AMCAS!!) and being accepted into this wonderful community. As you prepare to embark on this exciting journey, please look to us as a resource for answering your questions, addressing your concerns, and negotiating the logistics of beginning medical school. We would love to discuss life at Pritzker: the academic experience, the caring faculty, the diverse student body, the city of Chicago, or anything else.
This year, Orientation will begin on Thursday, August 6, 2009 and will conclude with your White Coat Ceremony on Saturday, August 8, 2009. In the meantime, you will be receiving a total of three different packages, the contents of which will also be available on this website. While Orientation may seem far away, we encourage you to continue to reference this website for updates, reminders, and other important announcements.
We are looking forward to you joining us in August. Until then, be sure to relax, enjoy your spring and summer, and get ready for the great times ahead of you!
