Overview
This course is an advanced literature analysis/discussion course intended primarily for graduate students in Immunology. It will involve an in depth analysis of a particular topic in Immunology, which will vary from year to year. Emphasis will be placed on development of critical thought in evaluation of the scientific literature. Recent courses have included (1) Antigen presentation of pathogenic organisms. (2) Clinical issues in transplantation and autoimmunity. (3) T cell development and activation.
Objectives
Advanced literature/discussion course intended primarily for graduate students in Immunology. Involves in depth analysis of particular topics in Immunology. Topic varies from year to year. Examples include Tumor Immunology, Transplantation, Dendritic Cell Biology, and Innate Immunity.
Evaluation
Participation and a final exam.
