Overview

Student will participate in the weekly family planning clinic schedule, operating room procedures and contraception clinic. Student will also participate in didactics of the Section and the Ob/Gyn Department.

Objectives

  1. Proficiency in counseling regarding pregnancy options
  2. An understanding of methods of abortion
  3. An understanding of available contraceptive methods

Evaluation

  1. Direct observation of options counseling
  2. Direct observation of contraceptive counseling
  3. Review of clinical writing including H&P
  4. Patient presentation
  5. Formal presentation on a topic related to family planning
