Overview
Student will participate in the weekly family planning clinic schedule, operating room procedures and contraception clinic. Student will also participate in didactics of the Section and the Ob/Gyn Department.
Objectives
- Proficiency in counseling regarding pregnancy options
- An understanding of methods of abortion
- An understanding of available contraceptive methods
Evaluation
- Direct observation of options counseling
- Direct observation of contraceptive counseling
- Review of clinical writing including H&P
- Patient presentation
- Formal presentation on a topic related to family planning
