Cells, Molecules and Genes Autumn 2009
Positions: 4-8
Stipend: $1000
Credit Hours: 100 credits
Duties Required: TAs will help lead workshops. These workshops will be interactive problem-solving sessions carried out with groups of 22 students. There will be approximately 9 workshops in the course. Training for conducting the workshops will be provided. Total classtime commitment is expected to be 30 hours.
Special Requirements: Pritzker applicants must be in their fourth year
Pharmacology Autumn 2009
Positions: 3-4
Stipend: $1500
Credit Hours: 100
Duties Required: Review sessions. Attend classes. Post announcements on chalk. Create drug lists. Help in preparation of exams.
Special Requirements: High % in the Pharm exam
Cell Pathology & Immunology Autumn 2009 [MS2 course]
Positions: 6
Stipend: $1500
Credit Hours: Varies
Duties Required: Lead review sessions. Assist with labs. Proctor and grade course exams.
Special Requirements: 4th year medical students or MSTP students.
Doctor-Patient Relationship Autumn/Winter 2009-2010
Positions: 10—15
Stipend: $1000
Credit Hours: NA
Duties Required: Moderate small group discussions; coordinating projects; grading final exams
Special Requirements: Special Requirements: Prefer 4th year medical students. Students apply for TA positions by sending a short paragraph describing their interest. TAs must enroll in a 50-credit-unit elective course, Advanced Medical Ethics (Medc 59506-01), which provides training for the TA role.

Duties Required: Responsible for lecture and lab material. Assist lecturers with supporting materials and/or Chalk.

Social Context of Medicine Winter/Spring 2010

Duties Required: TA’s responsibilities include attending class (once a week), leading a total of six discussion sessions, consulting with students about the topics for their Sounding Board papers, and providing grades and useful, specific comments to students on their papers.
Special Requirements: Prefer 4th year medical students or students advanced in MD-PhD or MD-MBA training.
